The Kapolei Library held a Fright Night a few days before Halloween.  We did not make it last year and decided to go this year.  Gracie is dressed as Peanut Big Top, a Lalaloopsy.  She was so excited to get dressed up and have some Halloween fun!
At the library
Check out that crazy costume!
Purple hair
Best costume...The kid is a rollercoaster ride and the parents are passing out tickets for the ride.  Super cute idea!
Griffin was R2D2.  The library had some Star Wars characters so we had to get a picture with them. :)

Gracie was so excited to try on her new Halloween costume that Grandma Linda sent in the mail!  So so pretty!

Excited for Halloween

North Shore had big waves coming in one weekend, so we drove up there to check them out.  The waves were 15-20+ ft.  They were massive.  I can't believe that people like to ride these things.  They look so scary from the sand; I can't imagine being in or on them!  What a ride I'm sure!  These pictures were taken at Waimea Bay.
Checking out the waves
Beautiful and so powerful

See the large rock and crashing wave?  That is where Justin (back in May) and Brandon (from Tina's and Brandon's visit last November) jumped into the water from.  This time around, no one was allowed up there because of the waves and the strong current.
The rock again

Went to a preschool carnival in Ewa Beach with some friends before Halloween.  They had games, bounce houses, pony rides, silent auction and lots of food.  Gracie had fun playing the games and jumping in the bounce houses.
Little Miss Minnie
Holding out her dress for the picture :)
Sophia and Gracie
Playing carnival games
This was a giant nose they had to "pick" to get a prize.  Gracie thought it was pretty gross. haha

I thought it would be fun to paint pumpkins this year with our friends and all the kids.  I didn't want to carve pumpkins for 2 reasons, 1. Gracie can't carve so I figured it wouldn't be all that fun for her and 2. Pumpkins rot so fast out here because of the heat.  We got together with our friends and the kids on the 29th to paint the night away.  They had a blast!  The girls really got into and loved painting on the pumpkins.  Oh, and I was trying to be cute and artsy-fartsy so I made them shirts.  As you might have already noticed, or will see shortly, I forgot to print the words in reverse.  So everything is backwards.  haha oops!  Learned my lesson. :)
Painting her little pumpkin
Kamryn wanted to paint more so she painted her plate :)
Kenzie painting
Dancing on tables...oh, Lord help us all!
They got Kenzie to smile!!!
Gracie's pumpkin
Now Griffin has joined in
After they would dance/stomp on the table they would run and throw themselves on the couch.  It was too cute!
The finished products
Trying to get a picture of all them.  Take 1
Take 2. haha That's all folks!
Griffin was highly amused by the girls' craziness

On the 30th, the kids and I joined some other moms on a hike to Hamama Falls in Kaneohe.  On the bucket list was to see a waterfall so this hike took care of that!  It was a trek for sure but Gracie and the other kids did great.  We were all very surprised with how well they managed.  The majority of them hiked the whole way up to the waterfall!  Amazing!
Going to catch the kids
Climbing
They made it to the top...of the rocks.

Beautiful hike with neat views
My little hiker!
We made it to the fall!!!  All our hardwork for this beautiful moment.
Gracie was excited!
Giving me the shaka.  I guess once you get to be here long enough, the kids just automatically start doing in pictures because of how many times they've done it before.
The HI life :)
Absolutely beautiful
Going to touch the water
Touching the cold fresh water
Barefoot!
Enjoying the reward
Got her toes in now!

ha that smile
My two babies :)
Had to get Griffin with the waterfall!
Hamama Falls
Gracie found a new friend.  This is when we were almost done.  The two of them were trailing behind because they were so involved in their conversation.  They were discussing Halloween and what their costume was.  It was the sweetest thing ever and it reminded me how big Gracie is getting :(
Halloween Day!  We had plans to go to our friends' (The Adams Family) house and start the fun there.  We then headed across the street to the park to join other families for a potluck.  Once dusk hit, we were hitting the houses for some fun trick-or-treating.
Went to throw Griffin's diaper out and came back from the kitchen and he looked like this.  This kid has been a mover since I was pregnant!
Our little monkey!
Minnie and her monkey brother.  She was giving him kisses!  She is the best big sis ever!
Smiles!
Can't get enough of these two!
The girls are ready to party!

Collecting candy
Yikes!
Hawaiians go all out for Halloween.  I love it!

She actually got to knock on the door!
She could have done this all night.  No joke.
They didn't know what to do when people didn't put the candy in their bag.  Lol
Family picture at the end of the night.  Happy Halloween!!!
October was such a fun month!  November should be interesting...stayed tune for a special announcement!  :)  Yep, I'm gonna make you wait till the next post.
