Moved in and getting settled...December

We spent the first half of December unpacking and settling in to the new place.  We love the space and the layout.  It really feels much more like home than Hawaii did when we first got there.  BUT we really really really miss Hawaii.  December is going to come in 2 posts since Christmas always carries way more pictures than any other month.

Griffin is finally in his crib!  YAY!!!!  It is so nice to have him in his own room and his own space.  I like having our room back.
Found him standing in his crib the first day I put him in there for nap.  Had to lower it within 24 hours of getting it put together. LOL

When we first moved in, we made it a point to get Christmas decorations out and up before it was too late.  I wanted this house to feel like home quickly.  I think all of this went up by December 10th.
Chocolate came back to visit!
Eating in his high chair like a big boy too!
Putting the star on the tree
So excited for Christmas and to be in a home again!

The Texas Motor Speedway has a Christmas light show that runs around and underneath the grandstand.  We popped popcorn, took our M&M's and got in the car to see the show.  We loved it!  It was a new experience for us and neat to see something we had not seen before.

One Saturday, we took off to Southlake (a nearby town) for some walking, shopping and Santa visiting.
Look at that sweet face!

Good morning sunshines!
Gracie started gymnastics at ASI.  She absolutely loves it now.  Her first day, she cried all the way there.  Now, she asks every day if it's Gymnastics Wednesday. hehe
Trying to sneak out
Playing outside and yes, she went to gymnastics like this one day.

When we move back, I don't know how Gracie will adjust to not receiving gifts in the mail.  She loves checking the mailbox and loves getting surprises even more.  Christmas is the best because all presents get shipped right to us.  Best. thing. ever.  I might request this when we move back just so we don't have to lug things home after parties. ;)

Lots of presents arrived today!!  She could not wait to open them all.
From Grandma Rose...Gracie the Hippo
From Grandpa Spike and Grandma Jan...Cinderella
From Uncle Steve and Aunt Steph...new plates and silverware

We also got our first visitors on the 18th or 20th or something.  Gosh, seems so long ago I can't remember the date!  Pam and AJ came down to visit.  They were lucky to make it out of Omaha because they got hit with a big snowstorm that day.  They stayed for 10 days and we kept busy on the weekends and during Justin's days off.

One thing we got to see was LegoLand.  Gracie loves Legos just like her daddy, so it was the perfect place to play for kids and adults.
Hanging out
Excited to see LegoLand
LegoLand ride
Even Griff got to go!
Basketball player built from Legos.  He was kind enough to pose with AJ.
Dallas/Fort Worth Lego Display.  Really cool to see a bunch of landmarks made with Legos.
Ride 'em cowboy!
Cowboys Stadium
After LegoLand, we walked around the very large mall.  Gracie got a caricature done.
Almost done!
More presents under the tree!  Christmas is just days away!

Justin and AJ were lucky enough to score some tickets to a Cowboys game.  Their tickets were pretty far but Justin said the atmosphere was pretty amazing.  The seats weren't all that bad, plus they sat right in front of that gigantic screen.  You can't miss anything with that thing!

Next post will be full of pictures from our Christmas festivities and things we did with Pam and AJ.  Plus you can answer this question for me, "Does this mustache make me look fat?" haha  Post coming soon!
